As we count down to the launch of our Indigogo Campaign for the film “BRASS: Lair of the Red Widow,” we’re delighted that our efforts are being led by the newest addition to the Battleground Production Team, Carol Monahan.
Carol is an experienced business executive and, sometimes, an actor. She is the Vice-President of Cheapass Games, the Business Manager at Studio Foglio, and also has a small side-business providing small-business consulting, focusing primarily on crowd-funding. In her spare time, she leads a Renaissance vocal ensemble and tries to write a novel.
Carol says: “Why am I working with Brass? Simply speaking, I’m hooked – Steampunk! Adventure! What’s not to love? I only got to see a few pages when I auditioned for the radio series, and I immediately wanted to read the rest of the scripts. I had the great privilege of performing a small part, and I was truly impressed with both the wit of the writing, and the caliber of the performers. When Battleground approached me about helping out with a crowd-funding campaign for a Brass film, I was thrilled to jump in.”
How did we end up with such an amazingly well-suited and experienced person to run our crowdsourcing campaign? “As a steampunk enthusiast, actor and business person,” she admits, “I think they would have had to take out a restraining order to keep me away.”
